What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

Yes I had mine done before it... but would not recommend it. Do NOT in any circumstances let any money changes hands untill the FH (final hearing) unless it is agreed by judge after seeing what youve both agreed to.

Zeppelin,

Make sure you get any application for anciliiary relief lodged with the court before you remarry otherwise you lose your right to any claim after remarriage
