Hi does anyone have any advice about dealing with banks and joint accounts.
When my husband left me and our 3 kids 18 months ago he notified our bank of a "dispute" which lead them to withdraw my cheque book credit card and maestro card. I have had no access to the account since. However the Bank assured me at the time that my husband had agreed to pay existin Direct Debits for utility bills etc.
The Bank also assured me that as we were both signatories no changes could be made to DDs without my consent!!!

My husband has recently instructed the Bank to cancel 3 DD from this account!!! and the bank have gone ahead and done so. The DDs are for joint life assurnace policies in our names which we need to cover mortgage loans and to protect the 3 kids.

I have spent 2 days on phone to various bank officials trying to get the DDs reinstated!!! nitemare.

Does anyone have any advice about dealing with Banks and divorce I am totally fed up with my Bank as they give me assurances and then dont keep them.

Is it possible to name and shame them!!!
Should they have an official policy for dealing with customers who are in divorce process and have joint accounts? Please help
