What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

In answer to yourquestion, I don't think either of us wants to get back together right now.
With the way she is changing her mind and the way her family treat her, there is a chance she might want to get back together when things die down. How could I ever trust her again though?
You're still together right now though so I'm guessing there might still be something to be saved? If you still want it and if, crucially, he is prepared to also work at it. he hasn't sounded very flexible up to now.

Cheers Shelia,
Well its countdown and i'm on standby. Apparantly he's told the oldest that he'll talk to them all on Sunday, so i'm not sure if he is going to give me good or bad news or whether he's going on what the girls say. Still it should be his decision no what the girls say. I dont want him to stay if he's not happy, cause it will make it worse later on and we'll have to go through all this again. Don't want to wake up in 10 years for him to say bye bye and then, what happens when the girls have all grown up and left?
