What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi All,

I know it varies greatly from place to place and depends on the courts workload BUT could you give me an indication of how long youve all waited?

I live in Norfolk and my husband has just submitted our application for a Decree Nisi.

How long should we expect to wait (on average) to hear that yes the judge agrees grounds for divorce and to receive the certificate of entitlement??

Thanks. :)
