What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

It seems I have upset a few people and I have no idea why?
Is it me today or do people just keep disappearing whenever I am around? Or is it the site playing up? I have been having problems with various things on site maybe others have too?
I think , I will give you all a rest for a few days, as my head is a bit mashed, I just dont seem to be able to say the right things at the moment.
So I will say TTFN and sorry if I have offended anyone, I had no intention of doing so!

For myself, hell no - you epitomize what I believe this site is about - support, honesty and help. You have been very kind and honest to a lot of people, what more do people expect?

I think your current issues are playing on your mind, and recent events with your kids haven't helped your frame of mind. You my girl, are an absolute babe in my eyes. Long may you continue to do what you do, and thanks for your kindness and care.

Be good

Mike

Hi Louise....
Twice over the past couple of days I have been leaving the chatroom as you have arrived..... but please, don't think that would have anything to do with offending me or anyone else for that matter.
It more likely had to do with the fact that I had to go to work/cook dinner/feed the cat/put pins in the x2b shaped voodoo doll.
I don't know about anyone else.... but I log in sometimes just inbetween 'doing stuff'...and sometimes have to shoot off again quite quickly...
As far as I can see Louise...you are a very valued and much appreciated member of this community... only yesterday someone popped into the chatroom asking if anyone had 'seen' you...I said I had 'spoken' with you briefly earlier, but that you were up to your eyes in paperwork...
I for one am very happy that you are around:silly:
Take good care
Karen

Hi Louise,

We all have nothing but the utmost respect for you and the amount of effort you put into helping other people. I too enjoy reading your posts.

There is no question that the chat system on the website is a little bit flaky, but it is generally okay.

Also, we all lead busy lives and it is easy to forget good manners when leaving the chatroom. A simple goodbye can make the difference between someone thinking that they have offended or not.

I look forward to seeing you in the chat room again soon.

Take care,

Under Siege
