Just arrived home to find my first invoice for £680! A 1hr mtg and 2 letters!!! What a complete waste, I didn't want to use solicitors anyway and this invoice alone would cover more than 2 months additional chil maintenance that I am asking for. We are only using solicitors to protect him, his company, and his creative accounting! I feel pants so I'm going to give the lottery a go!!!

Mushroom this is going to mushroom (sorry for the joke!).

Don't use a solicitor unless you really have to. If xtb wants a solicitor then let him.

I don't understand why you say "we" are using solicitors to protect him etc. Who or what does he need protection from?

Give the lottery a go tonight but if you win don't tell ANYONE!

Ha ha - and yes it did make me smile!

The stamped petition (not draft) dropped through the door and I panicked!

On reflection I am going to wait for his sols nxt move and then decide whether to go it alone from now on!!

Out of curiosity, would I be able to claim for legal aid if I can prove I am not financially supported by my new partner? Have been sep from x2b for 3 1/2 yrs!
