What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi Gooner....
Is it possible to download it again, and start from scratch with your new address???
I wouldn't have a clue how much it would cost... sorry, but I'm sure there are plenty people on this site who could advise you...
Best of Luck
K

Hi there,

if its just a divorce you are after, my advice is go to the court website, you can download all the papers free.
they also have leaflets that show you how each form needs filling in.
I have no idea on present divorce cost but have a feeling the court fee is somewhere around the "£200 mark.

Kind ones
Louise.
