What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

:SHello, this is my first time on this site. I found you via blogspot.com where i've been keeping a diary of my days, thoughts and feelings, to try and help me find the right path. Someone gave me your web address. She thought it might help. I have started a blog on here too.
Just don't know what to do for the best really. So many people will get hurt if i leave, but i'm hurting too x

Hi jerseylass,

I'm glad you found us! There are a great bunch of people on this site and i know you will find people in a very similar situation to you who will be happy to have a chat.

I'm afraid that i'm a bloke and not great at discussing the emotional / relationship side (I try and help out with legal and financial questions).

But there are loads of ladies on here every day, such as Louise11, Sallyann, petal, shar10, vanessa and i'm sure it wont be too long before one comes along and replies to your post!

Hello, glad you found the place, and, as I said, it's a lot friendlier than the American site - I'm not sure what they were so worked up about!
