What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

NonMolest,

I don't know what the legal procedure is offhand but I suggest you talk to your wife to try an agree a resolution. Arguements in a non-contested divorce are expensive and stressful enough.

take a deep breath and count to 10 when you feel its overwhelming you.

As you can see you are not alone, come into the chatroom for a laugh when its all too much.

Hugs x

Thanks a lot for your advice and suggestions. I am worried if I lose my job then her legal team will say I left the job deliberately and court might say I am not a reasonable person etc etc. and it might go against me, but the reality is I can't concenterate at work, cant afford anymore holidays and I need to prepare myself for the next hearing etc etc. Seems like I have been trapped.
My wife is legal funded and I have a pay a lot for my sol & barrister, dunno how come I am gonna survive myself or defend the proceedings
