What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi All,

I have to go for 1 hr supervised contact at the contact centre. Please give me some tips based on your experiences what all things I kept in my mind during the contact. Friend of mine told me that ur wife will try everything to annoy you or do smething to irritate you so that to have bad referrals i.e. may be bring kid in dirty clothes or may be smelly clothes so that you react on it and get caught or something like that.

Please give me your esteem advice on that as soon as possible. I have to go today for contact in one hr time.

Thanks
NM

All i can say Nonmolest is your there to see your child, i have never had experience of a contact centre but you only have an hour i think they will be watching you more how you interact with the child don't rise to anything your ex may or may not do.

Hi NM

I made my X use a contact centre (he was a bully) and I had to be there too as I was to supervise although staff were there too but I never did anything to provoke him, that could look bad of the one doing so, so if she does go down that route don’t bite, let her hang herself…give her enough rope!

You concentrate on your child and enjoy the time you have with him/her.

HI CG,

I went to my friend place after the contact and apologies for not updating all.

The contact went very well. I have seen my daughter after 6 months and intially she didnt recognize me but after 5 min or so she was very comfortable and played with me for whole 1 hr. It was a great to see my daughter after such a long time. She can walk and run now. absolutely awesome experience.

I am so glad everything went well, when you have seen her a few more times don't be frightened to push for longer.
once your x2b is sure of you around her she will probably be more at ease with you spending time with her and may even accept you taking her unsupervised for a day at a time, all good things come to those who wait, and if she refuses to give an inch this will only make her look bad in court.

I let my X build up contact away from the home environment for a good 9 months before feeling comfortable with overnight contact again, but then my situation was probably a little different.
:)
