6 months now since the wife told me it was over between us. Things OK regards access to my daughter, 10 and son, 6. Personally things are beginning to stabalise (thanks to conselling and anti-depressants). I took my kids away to Portugal last summer and had the support of my sister and her husband. We had a great time as I was still very traumatic about the split at the time.

I intend to take the children away again this summer on my own (sister is going away during school time next year). Has anyone any tips/recommendations on resorts/holiday companies where a single parent can enjoy a holiday to the full ?

I remember at 10 and 6 my kids were quite happy with a bucket and spade beach holiday in Spain.

We rented an apartment with communal pool and near a beach and the kids had a whale of a time.

It is only when they are teenagers that keeping them occupied becomes a full time job.
