What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

thats just where i am at the moment, but i am the bloke whose been told its over.still trying to come to terms with it.yes it is like being hit in the face wiyh a frying pan.havent said i,ll commit suicide or cried to her face, but it is so hard to walk away from all you love to face life alone in whatever you are able to afford.may be i am a wimp, but all on this site tell me not to leave the house, stay put.cant bear the thought of nobody to say hello,or goodbye or of trying to start the dating game again.give the bloke a bit of time to get his head round what he,s been told,if he,s anything like me he will feel his world has collapsed round him.i know it is hard for you as well, but like my wife its what you want to happen and have probably been thinking about it for a fair while, while i sort of knew things were,nt right but did,nt know what i could do about it.
can,t give any advice new to this nightmare myself.both in the same house.trying to stay amicable, not making each others life any worse than it is now.truth is i dont know which way to turn, thank goodness for people on this site.
