I am applying for a divorce now. My husband is from abroad and his two year visa ends in january. I think he is dragging out the divorce as he wants to obtain stay and move in with his family in the UK and is saying that he does not want a divorce in order to do this. Is this possible? Also does anyone know the procedure as to what happens when the two years are up? thankyou

Why not just go along with that, delay for a few months and give him the right to stay, assuming he's not been violent towards you?

Hi fjbpcl,

Is he on your dependent visa or what? if that is the case apply for divorce and inform Home office that you are not staying with him at the moment etc etc
