Just thought I would add a little update for those that wished me luck for getting a place in the Ride London 100

Unfortunately today I had confirmation that my application was unsuccessful :(

But hey ho will try not to take it too personally as at least 34,999 other people also share my disappointment

Still there is always next year :woohoo:so will continue to train and improve in preparation :)

Iv`e been looking at some BHF rides.I was quite tempted by the London to Brighton night ride and as I`m also a keen mountain biker there also the London to Brighton off road event in September.

A couple of friends have done a Coat to coast and the Isle of Wight sportive, both of which appeal , too.

I think Mountain biking will come in handy retep as I hear there is a pretty nasty hill at the end of the London to Brighton.

I may attempt the London to Cambridge again as I missed that last year as it was the week after I tried ''Tarmac diving''

Have signed up to a few Charity & Sportive rides for this year so lots of riding to look forward too.

Still working on a plan to get into Ride London 100 just the minimum sponsorships required are a tad hefty :(But can full appreciate why they are set so

My brother did this one last year and said he really enjoyed it:

www.london-revolution.com/

Which sportives are you planning to do?

I must admit apart from a extremely muddy mountain bike ride 2 weekends ago, and a couple of road rides I have done very little cycling so far this year.

I might have to get the mountain bike out this weekend, snow depending!

I had a look at the web site Retep & it looks like a good weekend of riding. Certainly one to consider.

I am planning to do two rides for Pilgrims Hospice in May & June & Wiggle Sportive in April all road rides. I have not got a mountain bike yet :laugh:think I might be a tad too Kamikaze for that type of ride after watching the Olympics

Also have volunteered to help out on three sportives not sure what that will entail but I thought it could be fun B)
