Break-up songs was created by Bubblegum11
Hi everyone,
I was just putting together a little play-list of songs that really help my moods and am looking for some ideas/suggestions. Any genre!

Sometimes you just need to listen to something sad and indulge in some self pity and have a good cry (it actually helps - rather than bottling it all up inside). Other times you need something that gives you the strength to get out of bed every morning. The ones that help you channel all the anger that builds up are good too. Best of all are the songs that just help you forget all your worries and be happy in the moment!

Any favourites you'd like to share?

Linda Ronstadt singing \"You're no good\" helped when I was feeling angry.

\"Everybody hurts\" by REM was good when I felt down - because everybody does, at some point.

JJ Cale's \"Carry On\" to get me through the tough days.

Then I reclaimed all my old CDs and I often have a dance about to The Beatles, Stones, Sheryl Crowe, Richard Thompson etc.

But on a lower note, I can't bear to hear \"Have I told you lately that I love you?\" (very tricky moment in church when friend chose it as music for register signing!)

Not so keen on \"Wake up and make love to me\" which was OUR tune and which ex now has as ringtone for his current gf.

Interesting post guys. Nice songs too.

I'm a die hard blues and soul fan but I love many kinds of genres. Huge Elvis fan too. I think Karen Carpenter had one of the most beautiful voices ever. And of recent artists, I'd put Amy Winehouse firmly up there with the greats.

Music's the greatest gift we humans have bestowed upon ourselves and it's got me through some tough times.

In the darkest times I listened to
One day at a time by Joe Walsh and Road to Surrender by Randy Travis. Being a hard core country music fan I wasn't short of music to cry to but I knew I was on the mend when I started listening to my long time favourite Kris Kristofferson again.
I'm currently making a list of songs to play at my wedding and happy and upbeat just isn't in my music collection my fiance isn't convinced that I'd rather be sorry by Kris is suitable so I may go for I've got to have you.
