Hiya everyone
I have been reading some very sad posts on her this morning and although it''s so hard to read them they have made me understand that I am not going through any of this alone I am at the start of this the very early days and it gives me hope when people say life gets better and I know I have a rocky path ahead of me but have now come to a little stronger even though I am in shock still but not cryed for a couple of days and what makes it hard for me is that we stil live under the same roof. I have some very good friends and family and my work is so understanding. Please everyone stay positive we can all get over this and maybe have a happy life again without them. I know I will again and that is what keeping me strong

I can remember the first couple of weeks (months!) being hell and thinking that I would never survive the hurt and pain.

But slowly and surely I got stronger. Your days actually start without your first thought being how much you love/miss them and you do actually notice the sun is shining.

As everyone on here says little steps, glad that most of your little steps are beginning to be in the right direction.

Hello and a very warm welcome to Wiki Land. It is a sanctuary to us all, regardless of how far down the road some of us are, so use it all the time to help you on this journey of separation and divorce.

You will find that each day seems like an eternity in the initial stages, unfortunately they just have to be endured, it is all part of the healing process and without feeling any of what you are going through, you would never look back and realise eventually just how far you have come. It is a roller coaster of of emotions, fears, physical symptoms, but a few months down the line they will lessen, slowly but surely. I am not sure yet if the whole thing ever really goes away, but you will with lots of TLC towards yourself, move in a new direction and start a new life, it is just at the moment you can not see this, it just takes time.

Eat little and often to keep your strength up, yoghurts, soup, smoothies etc. Take care of only you now, you are your NO 1 priority, as well as any children, if they are involved. Exercise gives you the energy required to get through each day as well as thinking time.

Check out the book thread on the forum for ideas and stories of inspiration, there are a lot of suggestions that will allow you a chance to take stock and try to make sense of it all.

Nobody here will tell you it is easy, because they would be lying to you if they did, but it is manageable if you take one day at a time.
