Evening all

I find it quite hard to talk to people that I don''t know but today I picked up the phone and called a support service that is offered to me through my place of work.

Wow I feel so much better within myself I spoke to a lady who just listened to me I just spilled everything out. She was so supportive of me.
She made me realise that I have been trying to keep the OH happy while he treated me like shit with all his issues. Now I feel stupid that I put up with it for so long.

I think the OH did me a favour leaving.

I get to call back tomorrow with offer of a counsellor support.

I''m not going to refuse free help again.

If offered to you take it.

It''s free to talk just like on here.........

Well done home alone . You took responsibility for you . You recognised your need and looked after yourself .
Excellent work done there . Bet you felt good seeing to yourself for once after all that time trying to please and rescue the ex .
Well done

D

I found counselling really helped although it took a long time before I finally admitted to myself that I needed it. It helped me realise the nature of the relationship and the kind of man my ex really was. It enabled me to see myself in a more positive light after years of living with someone who continually put me down.

Evening

Quick catch up here, counselling going well learning a lot about myself and my life....

If you have not tried it and have nothing to lose then go for it...

Don''t dismiss it until you have tried it.

I can understand it''s not for all.

Hugs for all of you struggling on wiki x

Well done - I was going to say this is a ''huge step'', but actually - it is a leap - of faith in yourself to make the decison to ask for help - and a leap onto a new path where you will see yourself in a more favourable light and stbx in a different light too.....it won''t happen overnight - but you are facing a new direction and taking a different path. Well done you.
