Hi Declan

I think the answer is in your comment "too much time to ruminate". Stop ruminating! You don''t have to sit around feeling lonely. Phone a friend. Bung on some music and dance! Physical activity produces endorphins and makes you feel better. Volunteer at a local charity, helping others takes your mind off your own troubles.

Sometimes I do feel lonely, but the upside is the joy of solitude, having the bed to myself, eating what I want when I want, no waiting to use the shower or having to fit in with someone else''s plans.
