Burying the past ...... Letting go

Hi
Just wondering how others have buried the past and moved forward.

I went to the lakes last week to visit places that we went to kinda retrace paths we travelled and mentally saying goodbye . Not worked . Been to Blackpool . Not Worked . Been hitting my punchbag in garage . Not worked . Mental imagery making a puppet of her and silly voice . Not worked .

So , I have written a letter quite a long one about our life together in it I wrote about the good times and not so good times. Quite a long one after 29 year . I thought where best to bury this.
I am travelling to Anglesey today . I am going to visit the cafe where over two years ago my ex gave me the news that it was over, finished . I have carried this pain and hurt around far too long .( My fault I know for distracting myself in wine women and song.. Still doing guitar though . Wine and women eh !, gonna miss that . Gotta become whole again . )
I am going to sit at that same table and rip the letter up and put it in the bin . That will be my place of burial of my marriage .My ex decided to end it there therefore that place will be where our marriage tombstone is .
I hope it works because it''s a two hour drive there . Long way for a marriage funeral . Anyway , a nice pint in Beaumaris after as a kind of wake eh !! Bag of Chips ! Admire the view across to Snowdonia . Maybe she''d a tear or two .

Then it''s feck her and homeward bound to my new life whatever that may be .

What you think ? Has anyone else found a place to let out the pain and hurt . ?

Also btw , I thought being told in a busy cafe it was finished quite insensitive or is it me ?
