What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hello all!

I''ve recently started my DIY divorce. I''ve filed the D8, paid the £340 and recieved my ex''s D10 back.
It''s all pretty straight forward, no children, no monetary claims and we both want the divorce (2 years consent)

Just a couple of double checking questions really before I take the D80D and D84 forms back to court.

D84 - Will just a line through " solicitors for petitioners" be acceptable as deleted? ( nit picking I know!) :)

D80D - On the final page when asked to identify the signature of the respondent. I am attaching the D10 so I ticked the top box. But do I need to actually mark an "A" on the D10 next to his signature?
If so, what sort of "A"?
In black ink?
Red ink with a big ring round it and a pointy arrow???
Any help appreciated

MY query too! Was there a reply? What did you put?
Also is the A at the top of the D10 or next to the signature? AND also a C marked next to the signature?

Thanks!
