On receipt of confirmation from court that notice of divorce petition had been sent to the Respondent the Petitioner waited for 14 days. Then she asked the court (with fees) to effect bailiff service. When the Petitioner received certificate of bailiff service she applied for Decree Nisi.

Now court has refused decree nise stating that the bailiff service confirms only service of Petition. The Rules require service of Acknowledgement of Service and Notice of Proceedings.

The instruction from court in the first letter (before all that) only stated that bailiff should be, if wished, asked to serve the petition. Further, the court did not (and normally does not) send copies of Acknowledgement of Service and Notice of Proceedings (that was posted by court to the Respondent) to the Petitioner. How to renew application for Decree Nisi?
