What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

What made you come to sunny norwich Carrie?

And Kidsinbulgaria - I've always wondered how that meeting someone in a supermarket works, quick flirt over the frozen vegetables....

And finally... Like the gag max, got any more? set up a thread! :)

My daughter lives in Norwich - she's only 19 and moved up with her boyfriend - we kept thinking she'd come back but she has been there since August last year. She loves it but gets lonely. As we all know its easy to meet people but harder to become friends. She told me this week no one has still asked her to go to their house and she hasn't asked any one round. people are so insular now -

I love it up there - really beautiful. when the sun newspapers do their cheapie holidays I book the Caister Havens and its great, right on the beach, near to Great Yarmouth which has been re-generated and 15 minutes from my beloved daughter

so which supermarket do you go to Chris? And what do you look for when you are flirting in the aisles???
Myself I like a man laden down with sweets and biscuits :woohoo:

Yes - more gags - post them on the non-divorce part and we can access them there

Norwich is a fantastic place to live - its a nice area, its clean and safe, theres lots to do and its surrounded by countryside, its fantastic!

The downside is that people can be really hard to get to know round here - not much smiling or eye contact in case someone gets offended... Its crazy!

lol, I used to holiday at caister haven, my mum owned a caravan there! was fantastic fun, took a girlfriend or two there in my younger days - hey, I knew how to show a girl a good time!

well, should I admit to being an ASDA price man, or go with the better class image of Sainsburys? :)And I'd have no idea how to flirt in the isles, what do you say? Whats shopping flirting technique? And how fussy can you be when shopping? I'd like to order a nice girl who enjoys cooking, maybe I should hang around the spices....

I did get chatted up by one of the shop assistants on a night out when she recognised me from shopping, unfortunately it was before I split so I told her I was sorry but I was married... These things never happen at the right time!

I was in a relationship for eight years, and been seperated five months - that whole chatting up thing seems a scary option for the future!
