What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi Turquoise,

Welcome to Wiki!

Are you thinking of Cross petitioning? Is your STBX? What are your circumstances?

Take a look at these previous links:

I was planning to cross Petition him, because he has told so many lies, I just can''t believe it.

Rather than Cross Petition, why not state you disagree with the statements, but agree the marriage is over?

Only the Court staff see the statements and to be honest they don''t really care who did or didn''t do this or that, they just need to know the marriage is over. Save your energies to make sure you are well & healthy and can recover from the Divorce.

Take care
