What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Anyone used the W/V solicitor managed service?

Hi Guys,

I''m hoping to put through my request to use the solicitor managed divorce service that wikivorce offer at some point today or tomorrow and wondered if any of you out there have used it before and how you found your experience?

Lots and lots of people have used the wiki solicitor services, the problem is that once done and dusted they don`t stay on site, in fact many never even become members, so the chances are few will reply to this.

I used the service for divorce and Consent Order, it does what it says on the tin, its simple and easy to use and the solicitor does all the work, if you need to talk to them they don`t charge for the call unlike high street solicitors, long story short what you pay is all you pay, it really is fixed price.

I''m using them right now actually... It all seems very straight forward so far - everything done by email/post and very matter of fact...

Always nice to hear that other people have had good experiences before you do anything so thank you all :)
