What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

this has helped me wanted to share..........

Unfortuantly, if one spouse is set on ending the marriage with a divorce, there is nothing that the other can do to prevent this :(

If she is dating, then I regret to say that she is moving forwards with her life - reconciliation won''t be part of her plan.

When the divorce starts more often than not, the marriage is beyond redemption - at least in the eyes of the spouse who has initiated divorce.

I would agree thats the case with me , but ive taken certain aspects from the interview to help me feel better in myself.

I hope others who maybe at an earlier stage make use of the suggestions and cherry pick the bits suitable ;-)
