What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi there, I am currently in the process of filling out the forms Myself for a Divorce as I cannot afford a Lawyer, If anyone could help Me with a few problem questions which I am finding hard to understand I would be more than grateful, ok so here go''s ...

Firstly Part 3 - Jurisdiction
I have not a clue what box to tick on this section, the court has jurisdiction to hear the case under ...
I am British and born aswell as living in England, My husband was Jamaican Born now living in England permanently. Confused

Secondly - Costs section His paying for it I dont want to claim anything or do anything Im happy with that shall I leave it blank?

Thirdly
The prayer , I read previously to tick ALL boxes bar the top one on the Financial order section as this means going to court, I have a child with My husband? Is this correct? for Financial order and for the chldren section.

Sorry to be a pain in the butt just I need this posted off by Monday Morning, the statement of arrangement for My son was a breeze but these questions are mind boggling Me!

Thank You in advance to anyone who can help

Part three tick the first box for the 3.1a council regulation, then move down to habitual residence and tick that one, your done with this bit.

Costs leave it blank.

Part 10, don''t tick the first one top left for a maintenance pending suit, but tick all the others.

If you get stuck call the free wiki line and they will help :)
