What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi Everyone,
I wonder if someone here can advise me please.
i am Respondant to divorce and self repping. on the 22nd june, i attended 1st appointment hearing. the judge made an order with 9 bullet points. the 1st point was that my wife should re serve her daughters bank statement by the 13th of july at 4 pm.
this still hasnt been done . ive emailed her solicitor but only got a reply from her secretary to tell me that she would pass the message on. the 2nd point that the judge put on this order that both parties must file an additional questionaire by the 27th july. because i havnt recieved the bank statement in question, i cannot file any additional questions. i am running out of time because its coming close to the 27th july. what should i do?.
i would really appreciate some help here.
thank you

Do a 1 point questionnaire asking for the statement due to have been filed on 13th, and add a paragrapgh saying you seek to file further questions once this has been provided.

Send this to the court and to her solicitor on 27th.

If you get the statement at the last minute then write to the court (cc''d to her solicitor) saying that you are preparing your questionnaire but will be unable to file on time as the statement ordered to be filed on 13th July was not received until 23rd (or whenever you did get it) As long as you file your additionalquestions within 14 days of getting the statement you are unlikely to be critisied(although if you can o it more quickly , do)
