What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Letter from court states ''not satisfied that i am entitled to decree due to me stating in part 5 that we have never lived to gether as husband and wife. Was the marriage cossumated? '' What do i do now? The marriage was cossumated. I did endeavour to live with my husband at his home but it felt as if i wasnt wanted there, i went back to my home after about 5 weeks. The time i was there i felt like a guest as was discouraged to do anything. It says in letter for me to renew the request for Directions, what is it i need to do?

If you stayed at his home for 5 weeks then that would class as living together. When you lived apart did you have a regular day of the week that you would spend the night together? What grounds are you using? Perhaps if you are using UB you could use the fact that you werent made to feel comfortable living in his home as one of your reasons.
