What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi Guys

As some of you may know me STBX and I are trying to sort out a financial agreement (he is now responding it seems, at least for the time being) I am waiting for him to respond to my sols letter to disclose finances however this morning I have had a text from him saying that he lost his job a while ago and has little option (and he wanted to discuss options).

My question is, what are my options if he genuinely has no money to cover his half of our debts?????

Thanks in advance,

Kat
