What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

No she can`t, you`ve been separated almost 18 years so 5 years separation is the way to go, all you need is the lady to sign the form sent by court.

Just make sure you get the first form right (D8) if you make a mistake court charge £90 each time it needs to be corrected.

If your unsure of any part post on wiki for the answer.

Err which service, a word to the wise check out who they are first, see if there are complaints about them on google, and what ever you do make sure if your paying money it is actually a solicitor doing the job.

If they say we have "expert case managers" give me the money instead, lets face it at least ill waste it in a good way :)
