What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

As with an earlier post, I''ve found the helpline to be exactly that, HELPFUL.

The guy who answered, same name as me!!!, had all the answers to the questions I had prepared about what I needed to do to progress separation and divorce.

Brilliant help, although I shouldn''t be surprised. Hopefully, if everything continues on a civil footing, I look forward to trying the Wikivorce divorce ''packages''.

Thanks Wikivorce, you are making a very trying time just that little bit easier.

BTW, found you after a feature on the morning news earlier this year. Well done the publicly funded news channels lol.

I don''t believe everything will be easy or plain sailing, but thankyou once again Wikivorce for your help. (Advisors and Wiki peeps for their support).

Ian.

Thank you for your feedback, BaronMitford.

Its always good to hear from people who have called our helpline and who have been happy with the service they have received. Often callers will tell us this on the phone, but it''s nice when people take the time to post on Wikivorce, or leave feedback via our "Just to say thank you" page.
