What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi! I ve got this numbers and I would like to know if sounds ok to you, please.
FMH 257500
Mpaid 139100
Equity 118400

Husband think fair is:
£43200 (half of equity less parents loan)

Wife think 60% of equity is fair not taking into account that "loan"
£71040

My ex doesnt understand why if I am the one wanting the divorce he is going to pay spousal manteinance. So I dont know how that will work because I want to keep this low cost and my income is limited at the moment.
Any suggestions on pensions? There are 66K there and he wants to pension sharing half on my name. Is there a way to this amount be use as form of spousal manteinance ?

Again, thank you very much for your help.

Mediators aren't able to advise, just to clarify points and ultimately if they think an agreement would hold water once submitted to courts for approval
