What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this site and due to be in court in 2 weeks time for my FDR (i am the respondent and self rep) can someone advise If the X's Solicitor has to show me the completed Bundle prior to the hearing. The solicitors have asked me to agree to it but i have not seen it and now not responding to emails.
Can this be thrown out of court on the day If i advise the Judge I do not have sight of this.
I also need to include my own position statement.
Many thanks

The Court Order from your first hearing should set out the procedure for this, I think? I'm in a similar position - self repping but my x is represented.

You can't agree to something you haven't seen, surely? If they are ignoring your emails, can you ring them?

In my Order, we are to agree the bundle - first party sends the second party index at least 21 days before hearing, second party to send any comments at least 14 days before, and the whole bundle is to be served on the second party and the court no later than 7 days before the hearing. Does yours say similar?
