What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

my husband after 5yrs of delaying the divorce process 3 x mediation attempts my STBx has finally agreed to mediation (1st meeting for him), however i have offered a proposal and he has returned his proposal - neither has been agreed or settled. however he has removed thousands of pounds of items from the home (when i am at work) such as TV's, music equipment, cameras, lighting, CCTV (from outside) customised BBQ, tools, generators and i could go on and on. he has done this prior to any settlement then have the audacity to ask for a large settlement for which i have to borrow for him to walk away with half my house and my pensions when he never contributed a 1/4.
he has no problem lying through his teeth so how can i prove he has taken all these things? and apply the cost to the reduction in the settlement offer. ? THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST TIME OF MY LIFE AND IT CANT END SOON ENOUGH!!!
