Receipes to make you go mmmmmmmm was created by Daisy049
Hi guys

well ive been home all day and posting...im bored...and this isnt my idea its Mish's, she mentioned it ages ago but as she's the busy social secretary for wiki I thought I would post it...but all credit to her for her suggestion.

also not sure if it would help but if there are some yummy food receipes here then it might help people make them eat as i know some people arnt...

Ok so here's 1 or 2 from me....ready..

Salmon (chicken if you prefer) with creme fraiche mustard corriander sauce...

roast the salmon or chicken peices as you usually would...
if using salmon smear it with olive oil though..

sauce =
creme fraiche - however much you want but at least 2 heaped tablespoons, more if your serving for more people...
heat in a pan slowly..
add teaspoon or 2 of olive oil
teaspoon mustard (whichever you prefer)
half lime juice
corriander - again however much you want - add to your own taste.

i always serve with roasted little pots (basically boil pots cut up into small peices roast with olive oil and salt)

re veggies i use roasted shallots, garlic and fennel...
just peal shallots and garlic but put in a roasting dish whole (the garlic goes sweet and sticky...so yummy) and re the fennel i slice then roast in the same roasting dish for half hour or so..

and thats it serve and eat !!

Roast chicken tarragon style

get 1 whole chicken

alot of butter in a bowl, chopped garlic and alot of tarragon
mash up together then shove up chicken's behind (well i think its his behind anyway - i dont really know the difference) but you need to get it under the skin...all the way...

roast as usual....and serve with usual accompliments.

Pasta Pesto Bacon & Creme Fraiche

this ones so quick and easy and delish !!

fresh pasta boil for approx 2 mins.
pesto - there's a bottle you can buy of this but its quite expensive however it will last you ages but you can make your own...(ie olive oil, fresh basil chopped and pine nuts - mash it up)
cut the bacon up into small bits then fry

once pasta done drain water, add nice big fat dollop of creme fraiche and pesto and bacon just heat through in a saucepan and serve....v yummy..

ok guys over to you !!! look forward to writing down some top wiki receipes...

Excellent idea for a \"thread\" !!!
I have some old wartime recepies , by Margurite Patton (hope I spelt her name right ) . The recepies use basic ingredients , because that's all that was avaliable . They take rationing into account . They are healthy , low fat ,because fat/marg/butter was heavilly rationed , and , they are cheap to make . I reckon in this economic climate ,and that most of us will be watching the pennies , that this will be most usefull to us .
I will try to dig some out next week , so get those steel helmets out , put \"ITMA\" on the wireless , and DIG FOR VICTORY !!!!!

Asparagus with Parma ham and parmesan

This is a very easy and quick meal to cook

Lightly grease a baking baking sheet

Take a piece of Parma ham and lay out on the side

Place two - three pieces of Asparagus onto the ham

Lay a couple of pieces of Parmesan on top of the Asparagus

Then wrap the ham around the Asparagus

Place them onto the baking sheet

Grill under a medium heat until Asparagus is tender and cheese has melted

Serve with salad or whatever else you fancy

Enjoy !!!

Lol Sealion!

My favourite recipe (Divorced Dad's Delicacy) takes a few days to prepare but luckily it is real easy to do.

Buy a loaf of proper bread (not the presliced cottonwool stuff) and leave until stale. Next smash it with a hammer into small pieces. Serve with tap water.

I found a quicker way of preparing the above, buy bread that's reduced because it's near its best-by date.

Next week: Strawberry-mould Sundae!

Enjoy!
