What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Good publicity for a well needed site.

But I also think that the article didn''t touch on forced poverty from;

- a stbx who hides money in plastic bags
- a stbx who gives and receives large amounts of money to family members
-a stbx who dissipates all the assets
-a stbx who''s legal bill is totally out of proportion to the amount of assets
-a stbx who false accounting debts in court to obtain a higher percentage of assets
- a stbx who steals

there is a whole load more, but I think I am definately better WITHOUT the stbx and any material possessions.

I do have my FREEDOM!:blush:

Wiser i think wiki was lucky just to have those few seconds of fame.

I don`t know if you know, you probably do but there are prevention of dissipation of assets orders the court can make to stop wasting hiding or moving money, they are commonly called s.37 orders.
