Try signing out from the internet, if your using wifi he might have been signed into a different one and the signal not strong enough. Then open up connections and let it search, when your home one shows, high light it and click connect. Hope that works x

Switch the odem off, leave a minute and switch back on.

If still not working, do a troubleshoot to see what the problem is.

1. Apologetically own up to borrowing it. He''ll likely sort it himself(?), while throwing a strop:S

2. Make sure kitchen window is wide open.

sorry:blush:

Hi,
Switch everything off and let it cool down for a moment or two. Did you retain the original packaging ;-)
Switch everything back on and see if its working (rub a rabbits foot at this stage.
It may be that you are able to connect to your wireless network but the router (modem) can''t connect to the internet. So check all the leads from the router/modem, this will be power and phone. The phone connector should go into a ''filter'' before it goes into the wall.

I assume that since you are posting you have some other internet connection, is that going via the same line ? If it is then that would suggest that there is nothing wrong with the computer/router and its your notebook where the problem lies.
