What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Being a bit sleep deprived and my grey cells being fully saturated with Matrimonial Law, I have just inadvertently sent long PM thing to wrong recipient in my Friends. I instantly noticed my mistake and of course wrote to the other person in my Friends to apologise! I am sure lady concerned won''t mind, but a bit of an embarrassing mistake and at least the origianl recipient can not be identified. ( I am learning!) but public apology to lady I sent that to in error.

This is a basic question as to how to actually find one''s friends list on here, and sorry to sound such an idiot, but seems I can only do replies on PM not initiate them? I must be missing something.... but clueless , so probably me! Any advice? And sorry again to ''you know who you are'', for that long email meant for another friend.

Sorry about this!

Ok, sussed it, finally! How simple was that! Silly me: sorry to the recipient of message meant for someone else once again, but now cracked how to PM properly! What an idiot! OK, may I venture to say here, thread closed? Least said about my PC doughnutness the better! LOL!

Thanks again!
