What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Ok, will try to keep this succinct:
Part 4 last check box - does this pertain to previous section, ie based on 5 years sep? Past post 270605 may clarify but seems the answer is that this box remains unchecked if NOT based on 5 years sep. Then again there is another ''or'' and seems to be generic, so bit confused there, my dear Wikis. (Cookie????? see what you mean, about ''pig''s ear'' re the redesign of the form post FPR 2010 in one of your posts on this! Any chance you can give categoric reply please?)

There are no agreements made or proposed to be made: just looks like - to the layman anyway - it only pertains to 5 year sep! Though I may be being thick, which would probably be about right! LOL!

To tick or not to tick, that is the question!Hmmm, think I will, going by the last ''or''!

Part 10 - need to claim MPS. Seems common practice is to tick all anyway!

Form A - again, tick all the boxes for AR, or FR''s as they are now called? Or just the one for MPS?
Also need to submit with a D11 - well, had a look at that, more nightmare, and there I was thinking I had this sussed. How wrong I was! Think sols may just well earn their money! Sadly I have none, so obliged to try to get through this litigation-maze on my tod!

Can any of the lovely Wiki peeps help me out with which confirmation I have checked correct boxes on part 4 and 10 on d8 and only checked first box for Form A? MPS is the most pressing for me, but no idea whether to tick all or just that one.... oh dear!

I felt a tiny bit of confidence of late, thanks to this great site and the wonderful peeps on it: now feel a fool for even thinking I could do this on my own! But I guess just feeling a bit sorry for myself tonight!

As for D11 - not got a clue about that either! Hmmm. Post tomorrow about this - my little ''ole brain can only take sooo much! LOL! As always, many thanks to all of you, but now off to do my ironing!(what fun, but beats doing this!) Bye for now and big hugs to my wiki friends - will PM all of you back Tuesday, ok?

Its a bit long with lots of questions which is why it remains unanswered, make it easy for peeps to answer, maybe one question per post, not everyone is a form geek :(

What factor are you using?, 5 years sep?

There are no agreements made or proposed to be made: just looks like - to the layman anyway - it only pertains to 5 year sep! Though I may be being thick, which would probably be about right! LOL!

Tick them all, even if you don`t think you need them all.

Form A - again, tick all the boxes for AR, or FR''s as they are now called? Or just the one for MPS?

Tick them all, what are you stuck with on D11?, if orders sought its MPS plus whatever else your looking for.

Can any of the lovely Wiki peeps help me out with which confirmation I have checked correct boxes on part 4 and 10 on d8 and only checked first box for Form A? MPS is the most pressing for me, but no idea whether to tick all or just that one.... oh dear!

Check them all.

If you are struggling call the wiki line and ask to speak with a geek who does forms.
