What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Thx for caring, Ive not posted but am reading daily. Its a waiting game thats driving me bongers.Have not received Acknowlegdement yet, stbx sols filed Petition on 3 Sept,I noted wrong postcode on last 2 letters from his sols to me, informed his sols dunno if its wrong to court as well. Might phone court this week.

Received ridiculous and unreasonable offer from stbx and send accurate info to his sols about our financial matters and my claim on 18 Sept gave them 14days to either decline or accept or I will file form A for MPS. 10 days later 28 Sept his sols respond was that she is in consultation with her client and will let met know of his instructions.

And Im still waiting. I do need the case number to file to court.
