What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

I usually don''t but occasionally think that he might be reading here. Only because he will be researching divorce issues on the internet and could happen upon it. Sometimes I feel foolish for revealing things, just in case. It''s a spooky feeling.

Not that he is interested.

My stbx regularly logs on here. He is a registered member but only ever posted a couple of times. At one point we were both having PM conversations with the same helpful Wiki about finances, who realised he was hearing 2 sides of the same story :lol

I assume he reads what I write

I don''t know how often he reads this stuff but I know he does. Recently he complained about a thread I started because he didn''t like being called a f*ckwit on a public forum.

Yes, and OW. But they can not know for definite as I try to keep me unidentifiable and safe. Occasionally in my eagerness to help another or express myself I forget. And have to delete stuff.

Nige.
