Wikivorce has 3 new volunteer opportunities available. We are looking for new volunteers to help out on our very busy advice line, mainly to cover holidays and other days when our full-time advisers are unavailable, or to help out for a couple of hours when our lines are very busy. We would expect that this would be no more than approximately 2 or 3 days a month, when required.
Ideally you will:
Be fully committed to the Wikivorce supportive ethos
Have a good general knowledge of family law in England/Wales
Be balanced, calm, reassuring and non-judgemental
Be able to work as part of a team
Full training will be provided by Wikivorce prior to commencing time on the advice lines. There will be two training weekends, the first in York from Friday 16 August to Sunday 18 August and the second in Winchester from Friday 23 August to Sunday 25 August (dates can possibly be changed to suit).
While this is a volunteer opportunity - and as with all roles within Wikivorce, doesn''t come with renumeration, your training, travel and hotel costs for the weekend would be met in full by Wikivorce.
This is a very exciting and unique opportunity for you to get more involved with Wikivorce – each year we take over 10,000 calls from people on our helpline; that’s 10,000 people receiving free advice each year that otherwise they may not have been able to access.
