After 42 years together the starting point for splitting the pot will be 50/50 although this can be adjusted based on need.

Priority will be housing you both. You mention house is paid off. Who lives there?

What other assets are there?

As you have been split up for some time already are you both living financially independently of the other?

I am living in the house, he won''t tell me where he is living, He stopped all payments on the bills in November last year and I have been paying them along with any repairs that need doing as he refuses to pay for the repairs. I have a lump sum of money which is invested to give me additional income, I have no idea how much he has left from his but I do know he got 30k more than I did. I
know he has spent thousands on holidays in the past year. He has a car worth around £17k. Mine is worth 2k apart from the house and money there are no other assets.
