What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Are they selling at that price?

Market price and sale price can differ.

Marketed at 200k might sell at an offer of 190k.

Zoopla sold prices may be a better indicator.

Could you suggest to your ex that you want to leave it on for another X number of weeks at the current price and then discuss reducing it?

Just checked last 12 month sales and they are selling at most 5000 under asking price which I would be happy with.
I have told him I am not prepared to reduce it yet but not heard anything back.
