What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

For those of you that don't know me, I separated from my wife 12 months ago. We co-own a small hotel and restaurant. We have to continue working together, despite our separation, until we can sell the business. :(

My slightly warped side realised that I will be spending Valentines Night, side by side with my STBX, handing out roses and encouraging loving couples to get all lovey dovey with each other in the restaurant. It's one way of taking your mind off things . What are the rest of you planning?

Mike ;)

Oh Mike - you got to laugh at the irony of it! Hope you will be ok and it's not too hard to deal with.

Me, I will be tucking my kids into bed and dealing with the ironing probably! Such a glamorous life.... Hoping next year's valentines day will be a bit more exiting

My darling boyfriend of 3 months broke up with me on Friday when I got back from a 3 week holiday with my family. I'm devastated, but will send him a valentines card anyway. I will still see him sometimes as we both dance at the same venue! Also doing a newsletter for him, so not quite finished with him yet!
My husband will be with his young girlfriend which I'm happy about! We're much better off seperate and now good friends. So, i'll probably be dancing with my valentine! Ceroc is such fun, all you singles should join. Look it up on the web.

Oh, Mike that sounds hard. :(

I intend spending Valentine's Night flat on my back thinking about England............

........Unfortunately it's not what it sounds like. I've been nursing multiple fractures after a dispute involving a Scottish 'hill' and a pair of skis and start intensive physio on Thursday. ;)
