What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Well, husband eventually got round to telling the kids last night as he is moving out on Friday. 20yr old son was quiet but 17 yr old daughter was hysterical and cant believe her father has been such a b*****.
I told my parents this morning and they were brilliant, said if I ever needed any money to ask and he is now out of their will, lol!!!
Feel so much better with them and kids knowing, no more pretence and putting on a brave face.
Still early days but I know we will all get there in the end.:)
