What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Do you need help sorting out a fair financial settlement?

Our consultant service offers expert advice and support to help you reach agreement on a fair financial settlement quickly, and for less than a quarter of the cost of using a traditional high street solicitor.

Hi, My husband had an affair and we are now separated after 21 years of being together. I am about to loose my home and my job as we had a business together and the house and business are on the same site. I feel I have no where to go and feel trapped as I can not work along side him any more and am reluctant to give up the house to him his new partner and 5 children. Although I know I will be ok once the divorce settlement comes through and I can move on I don’t know what to do for the best now.

Hi,
Don''t be in a hurry to give up your home and job- check out some legal advice- talk to some of the legal team on here.
Have you any children with him?
You mentioned his partnere''s 5 children- are they his? If not, I fail to see why he would be giving them a home!
Don''t be driven out!!
Hugs
