The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Your message made me laugh out loud.

It was so true where do these women get off with their ''but your letting the children down if'' or the classic 'but their your children'

My partners ex didn't understand the word 'no' during the marriage and can't accept it now. If my partner says no to extra money its always followed by 'why are you being difficult' shortly followed by ' but we said we would be flexibly and the final line is always ' we really need to continue talking' (All short hand for I am going to nag you into submission.)
