Some of it does ring true, for example i follow cricket and rugby, this weekend there are some big games, the other half will be quite happy for me to watch, and i know for a cast iron fact she will chat throughout, i will get updates on everything, even people i don`t know, the health of next door but ones cat, what colour car her friends ex`s cousin is thinking of buying, the latest price for corn flakes, what we should have for dinner, this one will change five or six times before my lady decides what (i will) cook.

Now most of the time i can nod and smile, but i know that she will ask questions that require my attention, important questions, do you like the blinds, what do you think of these shoes, i of course will give her my full attention and avert my eyes from said telly, and she will of course say you just missed than man in white run over the line with the ball, and i will die a little inside.

On the other hand, while eastenders is one i could pour a gallon of petrol over my head, strike the match, and she wont notice at all, i could be stood two yards away.

I had to endure Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Eastenders - seemingly for hours each night mainly as it was on in the kitchen when I was cooking.

I have found my quality of life has improved exponentially since my cinema room project completed.
