This amused me a little bit.

Since I get paid 4 weekly, and couldn''t afford to pay my child maintenance on a monthly direct debit, I got the CSA to agree to 4 weekly payments, but they wouldn''t accept a standing order. Instead they insisted that I phone up each payday and make a payment using a debit card.

Out of interest, I asked can it be paid on a credit card... for example a Tesco Clubcard credit card?

Turns out that it can. Yes you can actually earn clubcard points (presumably other credit card perks like nectar points, cashback or air miles too) on child maintenance payments.

I want to stress that I didn''t do this, because it just feels a little bit wrong, but it amused me that it''s possible. I don''t think the government intended people to be getting cashback on their maintenance payments!
